“RUN HUNGER OFF THE DIVIDE”
The "Run Hunger Off the Divide" is a 5K/10K run/walk held on Thanksgiving Day that specifically benefits the Georgetown Divide community in the following ways:
Financial Support for Food Closets: The event directly benefits Georgetown Divide Food Closets. Over the past 13 years, the run has raised and donated a total of $67,750 to these local food closets.12
Direct Community Impact: In 2024 alone, the event resulted in a $7,500 donation to support local food security.2
Maximizing Donations: Because Cool Charity is a volunteer-run non-profit with no paid salaries or administrative costs, 100% of contributions go directly to helping children and families in the community.3
Community Engagement: The event provides an opportunity for the community to participate through running, walking, or becoming an official sponsor. Registration for the event is managed through ultrasignup.com
