Adopt an Angel

We bring thoughtful support and a welcoming community to everything we do..

Here, community meets opportunity. Whatever you’re doing, we’re here to support you and help you move forward with confidence. Let’s create something meaningful together.

“The impact of the Christmas Angels program reaches far beyond the

holiday season. For the students who receive gifts, it brings joy and a

sense of being seen. For families, it provides extra support during a time

that can be both financially and emotionally challenging, helping to create

positive and lasting memories

Community members who participate in fulfilling wish lists and purchasing

gifts experience the joy of giving while supporting our local economy. In

doing so, we build resilience and a stronger sense of belonging within our

community.

Thirty-five years of Christmas Angels is truly something to celebrate. Just

imagine the countless families who have been touched by this

kindness—many of whom now return, years later, to give back and support

others in the same way they once received.

Thank you and your incredible team, for the care, compassion, and

continuity you bring to this effort. Your work continues to lift and connect

our community in meaningful ways.”

  • A Gift from the Heart

One mother shared how deeply the program impacted her son this year, noting that the thoughtfulness of his "Angel" moved them both to tears.

Thoughtful Details: The handmade blanket was a favorite, and as a child with sensory needs, he was overjoyed that every piece of clothing was chosen for its softness and comfort.

A Full-Circle Moment: Having been on the giving end of these programs in the past, the mother shared that receiving this year was a powerful reminder of the kindness and generosity that exists in the world.

More Than a Gift: After a difficult six months for their family, this wasn't just about the items—it was a blessing that brought a sense of peace and hope when they needed it most.

  • A Message of Gratitude

"I can’t thank you enough for your generosity. I never expected to be in a position to need help, but this is truly the greatest blessing for my boys and me. Knowing our community is thinking of us means the world."

Our Impact: 35 Years of Adopt an Angel

What began as a simple wish to help one family has grown into a community-wide mission to ensure no child in our district goes unseen.

The Heart of Our Mission

  • A Legacy of Care: Founded 35 years ago to support a family in need, we have since provided gifts, warm clothing, and essentials to over 4,500 children.

  • Recent Reach: This past year alone, your generosity touched the lives of 167 local children, providing them with holiday joy and dignity.

  • More Than Just Gifts: Beyond toys, we provide essential toiletry bags—originally started by the Girl Scouts—to offer comfort and care to families during challenging times.

A Community-Wide Effort

Our work is made possible through a vast network of dedicated partners:

  • School Partnerships: We work closely with all six schools in the district, coordinating with secretaries, leadership teachers, and the FAST program to identify and support families.

  • The Power of Groups: Year after year, local bunco groups, book clubs, and workplaces like GDPUD and PG&E "adopt" entire families.

  • Local Champions: From the Divide Women’s Group toy drives to the ALT Golf Club’s annual tournament, our local organizations provide the backbone of our funding.

Where Your Support Goes

Every donation stays right here in our community. Whether it’s through shopping, organizing, or delivering, your contributions create a lasting sense of belonging for our neighbors.

"The impact reaches far beyond the holiday season. For the students, it brings joy and a sense of being seen. For families, it provides support during a time that can be both financially and emotionally challenging."
