About Cool Charity

Our Mission

Cool Charity is proudly volunteer-powered and 100% dedicated to supporting less fortunate families in the Georgetown Divide area. As a tax-exempt 501(c)(3), we ensure every contribution directly helps local children and families; no administrative costs come from your donations. Together, we're building brighter futures through compassion, community, and action.

Message form Our President

Small acts of kindness from teachers, counselors, family friends, and neighbors shaped my life and taught me that true impact comes from simple, steady service to those nearest you.

As a mother, I wanted my children to feel the same joy from helping others. In 1990, after a school nurse told me about a family living in their car, I started Adopt an Angel so every child could feel hope and joy at the holidays. The program grew from one school to all six in the district.

In 2002, we started Cool Charity to support families across the Georgetown Divide. With our community’s generosity, we provide hygiene items, food gift cards, warm clothing, and holiday gifts - serving 151 children in 2025 and more than 4,500 children over 36 years.

Becky Siren | President

In 1990, after learning about a local family living out of their car, Becky Siren founded Adopt an Angel to bring holiday hope to neighbors in need—a grassroots effort that she later expanded by establishing Cool Charity in 2002. Driven entirely by volunteers, local business partnerships, and community generosity, the organization has since provided essential hygiene supplies, warm clothing, and holiday magic to more than 4,500 children across the Georgetown Divide over the past 35 years. For Becky, this milestone is entirely a community triumph, made possible by an army of dedicated neighbors, school staff, and local clubs working together to prove that simple, steady service can create truly life-changing impact.
